TEQUILA\ takes the initiative

As part of a green initiative TEQUILA\ launched a number of carbon reduction schemes on June 5th - World Environment Day.

TEQUILA\ enlisted the help of Lord David Puttnam, the Labour peer who proposed the recent Climate Change Bill, to kick off the agency-wide initiatives.

Staff were advised to have a "carbon-free" transport day. A pair of bikes was adapted so they'd go nowhere: they were placed on stationary training stations and connected to an alternator that converted pedal power into energy that lit a sign in the agency's reception. Each employee had a 15-minute stint on the bikes throughout the day to keep the sign lit. The bikes have now been made available for employees to use for London meetings.

However, while the green initiative started on World Environment Day, it’s far from over with many more activities and initiatives planned.
